Viva il Re! Viva Stephen King!
Nella letteratura, come in qualsiasi forma d’arte che possa considerarsi tale, ci sono alcune certezze sulle quali non si può dire o affermare il contrario: i libri e la parola scritta più in generale sono uno sciroppo per l’anima, il Salone del Libro di Torino del 2017 lascerà un forte ricordo nel cuore di moltissimi e nessuno, ma proprio nessuno può eguagliare il Re del Brivido Letterario, ossia nientepopòdimenoche Stephen King. Così nel suo 30esimo compleanno, SalTO 2017 ha deciso di dedicare una serata intera (metà proprio all’interno del Salone, più precisamente nella Sala Rossa) e un’altra metà nei dintorni e viuzze del capoluogo Piemontese. Durante la conferenza che si è svolta in un tempestoso venerdì pomeriggio (che il tempo abbia deciso di cambiare improvvisamente proprio per omaggiare le ambientazioni cupe e tenebrose dello scrittore?) sono intervenuti molti personaggi: Samuele Giacomella nonché amministratore del gruppo Stephen King Italia, il quale ha sottolineato l’importanza del numero 19 nella vita dello scrittore, che funge proprio da numero cardine in tutta la letteratura Kinghiana. Nel susseguirsi di queste due ore, la particolarità più piacevole è stata rappresentata dalle letture di alcuni brani presi dai romanzi di King, letti a turno e a scelta libera da alcuni scrittori e personaggi del panorama editoriale moderno, che appunto hanno spesso argomentato anche il perché della loro scelta di quel particolare brano oppure di quelle poche altre righe. Ognuno ha scelto il suo, ogni persona che ama i romanzi horror e fantasy di Stephen King ne ha uno in particolare che spesso non sempre coincide con il primo che hanno letto nella loro vita di fan Kinghiani. Moderatori delle multiple conversazioni, Giovani Arduino e Loredana Lipperini che a turno anche loro pongono domande anche a quei personaggi che forse si considerano distanti dall’universo di Stephen King, quando in realtà dimostrano uno spiccato interesse: cosa infatti potrebbero mai spartire uno sceneggiatore e un disegnatore della Disney come Roberto Gagnor e Paolo Mottura con alcune folli trame come quella di “Misery non deve morire”? Al di là della passione personale, entrambi i soggetti intervistati hanno ammesso di avere in cantiere alcuni progetti che vedano la caricatura soft di romanzi Kinghiani resa tramite il fumetto famoso di Topolino. Così in fretta “Misery non deve morire” si trasforma in “Paperoga non deve cucinare”, “La zona morta” diventa “La zona tonta” in cui uno sbadato Paperino sbatte la testa e comincia ad avere una visione del mondo più in linea con quella di Paperoga piuttosto che con la sua.
In un secondo momento sono saliti sul palco anche Massimo Volta e Henoel Grech, rispettivamente regista e autore della colonna sonora del cortometraggio (proiettato la sera stessa in prima visione) “Nona”, adattamento cinematografico di un racconto di Stephen King, solo uno dei tanti racconti che lo stesso scrittore mette da parte e mette in palio per giovani registi che vogliono tentare di adattare il loro modo di lavorare all’universo di King. Tante persone, tanti pensieri diversi su uno scrittore che è e rimarrà per sempre unico e inimitabile, ma poi alla fine tutti sono d’accordo su due conclusioni: Stephen King fa tornare alla ribalta la letteratura (e anche un pochino il cinema) di genere; Stephen King ti fa entrare nelle sue parole, le senti scorrere sulla pelle, le vedi proiettate davanti ai tuoi occhi e di lì non se ne vanno mai più.
