Anyone who decides to spend a few days in Vienna can only find himself satisfied with his choice. Vienna is indeed a perfect match for those who love art or history but also wants to have fun and be able to choose between various activities the one which is best suited to himself.
Vienna is full of things to do: for who has a natural tendency to satisfy his artistic needs you can visit the Museum District where you can find the Leopold Museum¸ which has some of the finest works of Egon Schiele, the Museum of Modern Art Ludwig Foundation and the Museum for Children Zoom, and you can also visit the famous Kunsthistorisches Museum and the equally well-known Museum of Fine Arts, located at opposite ends of Maria Theresa Platz: the latter is regarded as a of the ten most important collections of works of art in the world, with works by artists such as Bruegel, Titian, Rubens. Are also not to be missed the museums of the Osterreichische Galerie Belvedere, two enormous baroque buildings situated at the farthest points of an imperial garden well kept, where can be found some of the most famous paintings by Klimt, Schiele, Renoir, Monet and Van Gogh.
And for who has satisfied his thirst for culture and knowledge and want to see Vienna from a different point of view, nothing more simple: the city has in fact an excellent network of public transport, among which stands for fast and efficient the subway that allows you to visit in a short time most of the places. You can indeed walk through the Hofburg, the imperial palace located in beautiful Michaelerplatz, and wander through the streets for shops and cafes to Stephansplatz, where you can enjoy the beautiful cathedral Stephansdom.
If you want to spend a few hours of pure fun, the huge playground Prater is a reference point for young and old in the field of excitement and entertainment: ranging from go-karts to the houses of horror, through the roller coasters and other attractions-proof iron stomach. You can also buy a ticket for a wonderful trip on the river Danube, maybe a trip to Bratislava.
For those who want to satisfy their palate, Vienna offers a lots of chance: from the famous Sacher torte or an unfailing apple strudel, then Breaded Cutlets, the famous Austrian coffe and the salted pretzel and beer at will.
The only drawbacks of this city is that unfortunately the prices are fabulous: well in line with most European countries, in Vienna you pay for every cent. It 'a city quite expensive but it is also true that offers so much and it let you love it: no one will refuse to give you a hand if you ask nicely and you will know that most of people speak English comfortably.
